"I am writing this letter as someone who has had to deal with a family member suffering from mental health difficulties. Two-and-a-half years after my sister's breakdown, the one thing that has made the biggest positive impact on her recovery has been the provision of her local Mental Health Hospital.

"As I am aware that there are many other families in similar situations, I hope that you will save Thornbury Hospital, so that they can benefit in the same way. When someone suffers from mental illness, the everyday demands of life do not go away, and it makes it even more necessary to have local support.

"I do not know if my sister will ever be her beautiful, fun-loving, talented self again, but I do know that she stands the best chance of a recovery with local support.

"May God Bless you and Guide you when you make this very important decision."
